Example: Gold spot price at $800.00 per ounce. 20 DWT (penny weight / 1 troy ounce) of 10 Karat Gold. $800.00 x .0197 = $15.76 per DWT $15.76 x 20 DWT = $315.20 per troy ounce of 10 Karat Gold. 10 Karat Gold is 41.66% pure gold (10K ÷ 24K = .4166) To figure out how much per gram: Divide the $315.20 by 31.10 Example: $315.20 ÷ 31.10 = $10.13 per gram |
